CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 PM by Vice President Bart Moczygemba.
OPENING CEREMONIES
Our invocation was led by Rev. A.D. Smoot which was followed by our Sergeant at Arms, Bill Lambrides, leading the members in reciting the pledge of allegiance.

There were 6 board members were present for the April 2019 meeting.

SPEAKER OF THE MONTH
There was no speaker for the April meeting.
REPORTS of OFFICERS
Presidents Report
Vice President Bart Moczygemba gave the presidents report. Bart reported that President Trainer attended the swearing in ceremony for Representative Ray Lopez in Austin TX at the capitol.
Bart advised that President Trainer attended the PAC meeting on April 01, 2019 and the PAC committee recommended the following endorsements and contributions in the upcoming San Antonio council elections.
- Make an endorsement and contribution to Greg Brockhouse for Mayor of San Antonio in the upcoming election and a maximum $1000 contribution
- Make a maximum contribution of $500 to Elizabeth Campos for District 3.
- Make an endorsement and contribution to John Courage for district 9 and a maximum $500 contribution
The other Districts were discussed but no action taken at this meeting.
Vice President Moczygemba also gave the PAC treasurers report in Don Wagoner’s absence.
PAC Treasurer, Don Wagoner, submitted the income and expenses of the PAC for Jan, Feb and Mar and gave the balance in the account. Don was excused for the meeting.
Vice President Moczygemba had to leave the meeting and turned it over to Recording Secretary Earnest Gay
Recording Secretary
The minutes of the March 2017 meeting were presented. There were no corrections, additions or deletions noted.
Treasurer
Treasurer Charles Ricketts reported on the Associations’ deposits and expenses and gave a detailed explanation of monies in all accounts. Treasurer Ricketts made available the treasurers report and bank statements for anyone to view if they wished to.
Corresponding Secretary – Fire
David Perez reported on the deaths of Retired Lt Johnny Anz, 3-24-2019: Larry Orozco, 02-02-2019: Patricia Stockton, Widow of firefighter Hugh Stockton, 03-19-2019 and Richard L Lambert on 03-29-2019. Sympathy cards were sent to the families of each on behalf of the SAFPPA.
Corresponding Secretary – Police
Joe Carrillo was excused for the meeting and no report was available.
REPORTS of COMMITTEES
Pension Fund Committee
No report available as Committee members and Pension staff were In Austin at the TEXpers conference.
Pre-Funded Health Insurance Committee
Henry Trevino was present but did not have the funds balance available as the Funds members were also at the TEXpers conference.
PAC Fund Committee/ Endorsement Committee

DOOR PRIZES
Six door prizes of $10 each were awarded to members present. April winners were Debra Seidel, David Alonzo, Hector Flores, Katheryn McDaniel, David Perez and John Scott.

After the door prizes were given, Recording Secretary Earnest Gay adjourned the meeting without opposition.
