CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 PM by President Mike Trainer.
OPENING CEREMONIES
Our invocation was led by Rev. A.D. Smoot which was followed by our Sergeant at Arms, Bill Lambrides, leading the members in reciting the pledge of allegiance.

There were 7 board members were present for the February 2020 meeting.

SPEAKER OF THE MONTH
Speaker for February was Shelby Kaupert from Texas Law Shield.
REPORTS of OFFICERS
Presidents Report
President Trainer asked for prayers for the Bernstein Family upon the death of Bertha Bernstein long-time advocate and pioneer in our health care issues.
President Trainer attended the PRB meeting on 2/8/2020 and made available the Boards information Packet.
President Trainer announced that at the upcoming Pension board meeting on 2/26/2020 the Fund was handing out the retirement plaques for Police retirees of 2019. Firefighter plaques will be given at the March meeting.
Recording Secretary
The minutes of the, 2019 meeting were presented.
Treasurer
Treasurer Charles Ricketts reported on the Associations’ deposits and expenses and gave a detailed explanation of monies in all accounts. Treasurer Ricketts made available the treasurers report and bank statements for anyone to view if they wished to.
Treasurer Ricketts also presented the audit report which showed our books to be correct. Motion was made to accept the audit, motion passed.
Corresponding Secretary – Fire
David Perez reported on illnesses and deaths of firefighter retirees and their families.
Corresponding Secretary – Police
Armando Ynostrosa reported on illnesses and deaths of police retirees and their families.
REPORTS of COMMITTEES
Pension Fund Committee
Larry Reed reported that the fund was up 28 million YTD to 3.42 billion.
Larry also reminded of the retirement plaque ceremony to be held at the next board meeting for police retirees.
Pre-Funded Health Insurance Committee
Henry Trevino reported the fund was at 416.7 million and that the 3rd clinic was on tract with the lease/option to buy of a facility at Tezel & Culebra. Target for opening is May/June.
PAC Fund Committee/ Endorsement Committee
Bart Moczygemba and Joe Carrillo advised that the committee will wait until after the primary to interview on most election races. The recommendations made by the committee were announced at the meeting.
PAC Treasurers Report
PAC Treasurer, Don Wagoner, reported on the income and expenses of the PAC and gave the balance in the account. Don made the bank records available if anyone wished to look at them.
Don also reported that the audit was complete and the books are in order. Motion was made to accept the audit, motion passed.
DOOR PRIZES
There was an additional door prize of 4 tickets to the rodeo donated by Stanley Bernstein. The 6 regular $10 door prizes were also given.
ADJOURNMENT
After the door prizes were given, President Trainer adjourned the meeting without opposition.
