REPORTS of COMMITTEES

Pension Fund Committee

Larry Reed reported that the fund is now at 3.38 Billion at the end of 2019, preliminary numbers indicate this is a 415 million increase or 14% for 2019.

The final C.O.L.A. numbers have not been reported as yet but it appears the 2019 C.O.L.A. is 2.3% for those getting 100% and 1.7% for those getting the 75%.

The San Antonio Park Police and Airport Police have filed a law suit against the city wanting to be included in the pension plan.  The Fund is remaining neutral on the issue as it will have little to no negative effect on the fund since it would be 20 years before the first retiree would receive benefits. Both the Park and Airport Police are currently under T.M.R.S.

Next Pension Fund Board meeting will be 1-29-2020 at 9am.
