CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 PM by President Mike Trainer.
OPENING CEREMONIES
Our invocation was led by Deacon J. Whitley which was followed by our Sergeant at Arms, Bill Lambrides, leading the members in reciting the pledge of allegiance.

There were 7 board members were present for the March 2020 meeting.

SPEAKER OF THE MONTH
Doris Hurtado gave an update on the QCD dental insurance and the associated vision plans available to our members.
REPORTS of OFFICERS
Presidents Report
President Trainer reported on 2 meeting he attended in Austin and also commented on how the board needs to get more of our information on our web site for our members. Mike turned the meeting over to Mary Holub who presented the language change needed to the bylaws to audit the Treasurer and PAC accounts. Mary made the motion and it was seconded and passed without opposition.
Recording Secretary
The minutes of the, February 11, 2019 meeting were presented. There were no corrections, additions or deletions noted.
Treasurer
Treasurer Charles Ricketts reported on the Associations’ deposits and expenses and gave a detailed explanation of monies in all accounts. Treasurer Ricketts made available the treasurers report and bank statements for anyone to view if they wished to.
Corresponding Secretary – Fire
David Perez reported that he sent out 1 sympathy card during the previous month and had no illnesses to report.
Corresponding Secretary – Police
Recording Secretary Gay gave the Police wellness report in Armando’s absence. Armando Ynostrosa reported that he sent out 2 sympathy cards and 4 get-well cards for the previous month.
REPORTS of COMMITTEES
Pension Fund Committee
Larry Reed reported the fund is down 135 million YTD which is -4.1%. Legislative committee met and the city nor Fire union showed. The committee is looking at a package similar to the last one. Another meeting is being scheduled with hope all members will attend. The pension fund is cancelling all trips due to Covid19. The Fund may have employees work remotely.
Pre-Funded Health Insurance Committee
Alex Perez reported the fund is down about 10 million to 4.06 Million. Letters are being sent out on procedures to go to the clinics. The 3rd clinic out west is on track and should be in operation late June.
PAC Fund Committee/ Endorsement Committee
A question from the floor (Curtis Franz) asked if it was possible to pass any legislation if any of the parties involves were opposed to it. Bart explained how it is so much easier to kill a bill than to pass on and gave several examples of past bills that did not make it due to opposition.
PAC Treasurers Report
PAC Chairman Bart Moczygemba, reported on the income and expenses of the PAC and gave the balance in the account. Don made the bank records available if anyone wished to look at them. Joe Carrillo gave update on campaigns the PAC is donating to.
GOOD AND WELFARE
A motion from the floor (Curtis Franz) that the pensioners association should petition the health fund to continue benefits to surviving spouse if they remarry. At present the Health fund terminates coverage to a surviving spouse upon remarriage. Motion was seconded and passed without opposition.
DOOR PRIZES
The six door prizes of $10 each were awarded to members present.
ADJOURNMENT
After the door prizes were given, President Trainer adjourned the meeting without opposition.
