ZOOM VIRTUAL MEETING OF May 11, 2021

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 PM by President Mike Trainer.
OPENING CEREMONIES
Our invocation was led by Corresponding Secretary Armando Ynostrosa which was followed by members reciting the pledge of allegiance.

There were 7 board members were present for the May 11, 2021 meeting.

REPORTS of OFFICERS
Recording Secretary
The minutes of the April 13, 2021 meeting were presented. There was two corrections noted to the PAC report.
Treasurer
Treasurer Charles Ricketts reported on the Associations’ deposits and expenses and gave a detailed explanation of monies in all accounts.
Corresponding Secretary – Fire
David Perez reported he sent out 1 sympathy and 1 get well card during the previous month.
Corresponding Secretary – Police
Armando Ynostrosa reported he sent out 3sympathy and 2 get well cards during the previous month.
REPORTS of COMMITTEES
Pension Fund Committee
Larry Reed reported the fund was at 3.82 billion which is up 150 million (3.7%) YTD. There were some late returns posted and the newest estimate for a 13th check next year is now +4% return needed. Fund Trustee elections were Fire retiree – Larry Reed – 447, Carlos Resendez – 145 and Gutierrez – 135. 54% of fire retirees voted. Reed re-elected, Pearson won re election as active fire trustee, only 200 active firefighters voted, (11%) and Jimmy Foster was unopposed as active police trustee. Inflation has held at 1.3% YTD. The May board meeting is changed to Thursday 5-27-2021 due to the TEXpers conference.
Pre-Funded Health Insurance Committee
Alex Perez reported that the fund is at $499,782,374.87. The board will discuss extending the teleconference through the end of 2021 at their upcoming meeting. The Rogers rd. clinic will begin construction next month. This location will be owned by the Fund and will replace the rented facility currently at Tezel rd.
PAC Fund Committee/ Endorsement Committee
Bart Moczygemba and Don Wagoner corrected the contributions as reported last month. John Courage was not given a donation, his was only discussed and the Brockhouse contribution was actually $1000 and not the $1500 previously reported. Don Wagoner also reported he filed the 990N with the IRS for the association treasurer.
PAC Treasurers Report
PAC Treasurer, Don Wagoner, reported on the income and expenses of the PAC and gave the balance in the account.
Presidents Report
President Trainer will attend the Health Funds zoom board meeting. President Trainer also reported there is no known legislation to report on.
GOOD AND WELFARE
The Fish city Grill will again be donating 15% of their receipts on June 6, 2021 to the Fire Museum.
ADJOURNMENT
President Trainer adjourned the meeting without opposition.
