August 10 — In-person Meeting at Pension Fund Office

The San Antonio Fire and Police Pensioners’ Association will have an in-person meeting for its Monthly General Meeting, at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

The San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees in June approved allowing our pensioners’ association to hold meetings at the pension fund office. In view of the contagious spread of the Covid-19 delta variant, masks will be required at this meeting.

All members attending the meetings must obey any and all rules posted by the Pension Fund, including notices about social distancing and masks.

July 13 Meeting — In-Person at SAFPPF Office! Big Announcement Coming!

For the first time since March 10, 2020, the San Antonio Fire and Police Pensioners’ Association will have an in-person meeting for its Monthly General Meeting, at 1:30 p.m. on July 13, 2021.

The San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees in June approved allowing our pensioners’ association to hold meetings at the pension fund office.

You won’t want to miss this meeting as there will be a Big Announcement which all our members will want to know.

As discussed and voted on, NO meals (or “snacks”) will be served at meetings until a future affirmative vote allowing meals. All members attending the meetings must obey any and all rules posted by the Pension Fund, including notices about social distancing and masks.

Firearm Qualification June 28

The SAPD Training Academy Firearms staff will be holding retiree qualifications on June 28.

There will be morning qualification at 0900 and an afternoon qualification at 1400.  When you call to sign up please specify which date and time you would like to sign up for. 

We are limited to 30 shooters per time slot so we will absolutely be taking no walk-ins.  If you are not signed up for the specified time/date, you will not be allowed to qualify.  No exceptions. 

As usual, you will need your firearm, at least two magazines, a holster, 50 rounds of ammo and a check payable to COSA.  MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT ON THE FIRING LINE, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Your own eye and ear protection is highly recommended.
