The Board of Trustees for the San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund approved a 14th check for its retired members. The checks will be distributed through the direct deposit system on or about May 13th.
Spring Luncheon for SAFPPA Members June 15
After a two-year “break” during the Covid-19 pandemic, the SAFPPA will again host its Spring Luncheon for SAFPPA members.
The SAFPPA 2022 Spring Luncheon will be Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:00a.m. – 2:00p.m. at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium 901 N. Loop 1604 West, San Antonio, Texas 78232.
This Spring luncheon will feature a steak dinner and is open to all paid members of the SAFPPA and spouse/guest. Non-members may attend with a guest at a cost of $15 per plate. There is no cost for this luncheon for dues paying members, however you must R.S.V.P no later than Tuesday, May 31, 2022

Monthly Meeting April 12 is In-Person at Pension Fund Office
The San Antonio Fire and Police Pensioners’ Association will hold its monthly meeting in-person at 1:30 on Tuesday, April 12 at the San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund Office.
Our guest speaker will be Dianne M. Teran from the Alzheimer’s Association in San Antonio. The Alzheimer’s Association is a worldwide voluntary health organization dedicated to Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Their mission is to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Health Fund Changes Website Address and Look of Website
The Retiree Health & Wellness San Antonio Fire and Police, or the Fund, helps retirees of the San Antonio Fire and Police Department with health care benefits.
The Fund announced a new website address last week: thefundsa.org. They also updated their webpage. Looks great.

In-person Member Meeting on March 8!
For the first time in 2022, the San Antonio Fire and Police Pensioners’ Association will hold its monthly meeting in-person at the Pension Fund office on Tuesday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. Snacks will be available, but no meal.
The Pension Fund opened again on March 1 to member visits but has asked for members to have virtual meetings with their staff if at all possible. Visit www.SAFPPF.org for information.
