The pension fund issued the following notice today regarding its office operations:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in compliance with the Declarations of Public Health Emergency issued at the local, state and federal levels, the San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund is making some changes regarding how we will conduct business.Specifically, we will be closing the Pension Fund Office beginning Wednesday, March 25, and all employees will be working remotely until further notice.
Please be assured that we will continue to serve our members and retirees, and our business operations will carry on. We do not expect any delays in processing retirements, refunds, or annuity payments.
If you need to speak to someone, please call the main number (210) 534-3262 during regular business hours (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday), and your call will be directed to the appropriate staff person for handling. Alternatively, you can email our staff people directly. Staff email addresses can be found on our website (www.safppf.org), along with general information and access to your Member Direct account.
All Pension Fund Board Meetings and Committee Meetings are postponed until further notice.
